Disclosure of Providers: Upon request, Benton-Carroll-Salem School District must inform parents about which external providers or vendors they are contracting with. This might include companies that provide educational software, data analytics services, or other technology. By doing this, parents can be aware of who is involved in their child's education and understand the role these providers play.
Handling of Records: If a contract with a provider ends, the provider is responsible for either returning any records they’ve collected about students back to the school district or destroying those records. This ensures that student data is managed appropriately and does not remain with third parties longer than necessary.
Notification of Technology Use: Upon request, Benton-Carroll-Salem School District must notify parents about the specific hardware and software that will be used in the educational environment. This allows parents to be aware of, and possibly review the tools and technologies their children will be exposed to.
